  1. Re: Sv: Re: Sv: Re: "Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation on the web..."

The book makes it quite clear that this is an option and not a promise and so have I.

So, pointing that out is fine. However, the e-aware comments imply far more than this and contain errors....
  2. Re: Sv: Re: "Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation on the web..."

If you had actually read my book you would have noticed the massive disclaimer at the beginning.

But thanks for pointing out the sense in it. If someone who has an alternative agenda wants to...

    Re: Synacthen versus using Hydrocortisone

Hi Kevlin, yes you have to be free from HC for several weeks (at least two I think( before a Synacthen test is considered to be accurate. The HC causes the pituitary to stop sending as much ACTH...
  4. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

110/72 is normal for many people. 148/98 isn't though - it is high. The BPs/pulses all look better now. Slow weaning of HC is very important - very slow. You will need a cortisol test at some point....
  5. Re: Sv: Will the Circadian T3 Method still work... ?

Yes - iron is low and needs proper / a lot of supplemention.

A saliva cortisol test would be good or 2-3 serum cortisol tests over the day. One blood cortisol test in the morning is no good as...
  6. Re: Sv: "Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation on the web..."

Yes a kind of book review followed by misinformation of their own.

Why would that be I wonder?

  7. Re: My husband was diagnosed with hypothyroidism more than 20 years ago...

Hi Elbeth, I can't tell or advise you that your Husband would be better on T3. However, he ought to be well on some thyroid hormone treatment. I detect from your message that he is not 100% well. He...
  8. Re: Sv: "Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation on the web..."

My book is accurate and their post on their website isn't.

Vigdis - you know many of the people who have used the CT3M method on the STTM forums - you should ask them who is right.

    I'm just...
  9. Re: "Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation on the web..."

The Endocrine Awareness Centre for Health is run by patients like me and are expressing an opinion, which they are entitled to do.

As far as I am aware they have not tried to use the Circadian T3...
  10. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

The big issue above is lack of B1, etc in 100mg per day level - B1,B2,B3,B4,B5 and B6 all need to be taken twice a day with food at around 50mg each. These are components of many enzymes and...
  11. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

Vigdis I'd like to see your BP,heart rate, body temperature and main symptoms being recorded in your daily notebook with the exact natural thyroid dosing you are using. Record these every day....
  12. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

Yeah - I'm familiar with grains but it is easier if grains and the T3 content in mcg is used to be certain we are clear.
Is your BP OK now? (if it was you that had it higher yesterday). The 1.5...
  13. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

On these threads I am struggling to work out WHO is the poster - which person I am speaking to - could the person posting put their name clearly first- I find this forum structure hard to follow....
  14. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

Also I am not used to seeing natural thyroid in milligrams - it would be easier for me to see it either in grains or ideally converted in to the equivalent mcg of T4 and mcg of T3. Thanks again. If...
  15. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

Can you always please write down precisely the NDT individual doses you are using and the timings and what time you get up on a morning - so I can see how much T3 is being used and how it is applying...
  16. Re: Sv: Re: Will the Circadian T3 Method still work... ?

First I must say that if more than 1/2 grain does this then you are likely to have either cortisol insufficiency of low iron levels. The first step MUST be to have iron and cortisol tested properly....
  17. Re: Sv: Paul, can your CT3M be used by those who use syntetic T4/T3 also?

That doctor is not thinking straight then. The people that need thyroid hormone often have multiple problems caused by being hypothyroid for some time. Adrenal issues are common and so is low iron...
  18. Re: Sv: Paul, can your CT3M be used by those who use syntetic T4/T3 also?

You also need to remember that my book 'Recovering with T3' is only a little bit about my invention of the CT3M. Most of my book is about how thyroid hormones really work, the limitations of thyroid...

    Re: Synachen versus using Hydrocortisone

If your adrenals pass the Synacthen test then it is good information because the HC will be partially suppressing your adrenal function and making your adrenal response weaker than it should be. If...
  20. Re: Will the Circadian T3 Method still work... ?

You only need to use the time that you usually get up on - so base it on the majority of the time and accept that this is not perfect. So, for you your main cortisol production windown is 2:30am to...
  21. Re: Paul, can your CT3M be used by those who use syntetic T4/T3 also?

Yes - it works with T4/T3, T3 on its own or natural thyroid. It won't work with only T4 or with slow release T3.

It typically needs at least 9-10 mcg of T3 content in the Circadian dose as a start...
  22. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

So, this may be related to your medication possibly. You need to take the BP, temp and heart rate at different times of the day and see if it is related to your meds.

    If someone is using the...
  23. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

No point doing a Synacthen now on HC.

But you can test cortisol on HC see my latest blog:
    http://recoveringwitht3.com/blog/using-cortisol-tests-when-hc-or-other-adrenal-support

    If you suspect...
  24. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

Well, I have to ask is it more important to get the thyroid hormones working right with HC or to get the HC down?

4-5 mcg is a bit too low yes.

You can't determine Addison's easily from saliva...
  25. Re: Sv: Hello Paul! I have some questions I hope you have time to answer.

No - not necessarily. Iron is only one of the barriers. Cortisol and several other things can be also. How many hours before you get up on a morning did you try to take the NDT and how much T3 is in...
